National Center for Reason and Justice
Debbie is on the board of directors of The National Center for Reason & Justice (NCRJ). It’s a non-profit innocence project, working to educate the public about the problem of people falsely charged with abusing children.
NCRJ also advocates for rational, constructive ways to deal with real harm to children and with people who hurt them. We are very concerned about the epidemic in this country of civil and human rights abuses against not just the falsely accused, but also against actual lawbreakers. People who assault children — particularly sex offenders — are today’s demons, more reviled than “terrorists.” Sex offenders are being defined as subhuman, and laws are being enacted to take away their civil and human rights. Not only is such policy barbaric, but it fails to protect children. Worse, it sets a dangerous precedent for our entire culture.
Learn more about sex-abuse panic by purchasing Satan’s Silence. It’s available through IUniverse.com. Your purchase can help free innocent prisoners. Debbie and co-author Michael Snedeker donate sales profits to the National Center for Reason and Justice, which distributes them to defense funds for falsely convicted people who need financial help to pay attorney fees and survive in prison.
